The Administrator general of Wallonia Brussels International, Pascale Delcomminette, was in Geneva on the 10th of July to participate in the 3rd global meeting of the Rehabilitation 2030 initiative of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The Walloon government financially contributed in this initiative by supporting projects in Burkina Faso and in the DRC on physical rehabilitation. This contribution was given in the context of the agreement signed between the Walloon government and the WHO in 2022 in New York, which aims at supporting public health programmes and activities reinforcing health systems in several African countries.

The support to health policies in rehabilitation constitutes a first step in the framework agreement between the WHO and Wallonia. In 2024, the second part of this framework agreement will be dedicated to vaccination, especially the local production of vaccines and the improvement of competence regarding the regulation of medications.
