Wallonia-Brussels at World Summit on the Information Society

Wallonia-Brussels in Geneva invites you to take part in our workshop "Artificial intelligence and disinformation: technical and political solutions", which will take place during World Summit on the Information Society, on Tuesday May 28 at 11am, at the CICG (room E+F), in Geneva. The workshop will take place in French with interpretation to English.

The panel will address solutions to the challenges posed by AI on misinformation and will convene :

  • H.E. Henri Verdier, Ambassador for Digital Affairs, France.
  • Ms. Aline Nardi, researcher, University of Namur, Belgium.
  • Eng. Matei Mancas, senior researcher, University of Mons, Belgium.
  • Ms. Miriam Ragala, counsellor, Permanent mission of Morocco in Geneva.
  • Mr. Philippe Stoll, Senior Techplomacy Delegate, ICRC.

The event will be moderated by Mr. Bertrand Levant, Head of the Information Integrity Unit, Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.

Our Delegate General Wallonia-Brussels, Ms. Sharon Weinblum, will also be taking part in the Leaders TalkX panel Looking Ahead: Emerging tech for building sustainable futures (in English and French with interpretation) on Tuesday May 28 at 3pm.

Finaly, Prof. Aurélien Fievez, advisor for the Wallonia-Brussels Federation will discuss best practices in hybrid learning with Dr. Omar Thiam from UNESCO-International Bureau of Education during the workshop Fostering hybrid curricula for inclusive learning environments (in English) on Wednesday May 29 at 4pm.
